Our client is a premier wholesaler of a wide range of timber products for the domestic housing industry, commercial construction, home renovations, and industrial markets. Products are sourced from Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and North & South America in order to provide customers with the right solution for their needs. We are currently seeking an extraordinary individual to undertake the role of Customer Service/Internal Sales Officer.

About the Role

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Assist the external sales team with order processing, sales and stock enquiries
• Provide product knowledge to existing and new customers
• Attend to any customer enquiries regarding timber and panel products available to sell
• Maintain and continue to develop customer relations assisting with all enquiries
• Liaise with the Despatch Manager
• Assist the State Manager with tasks as required.

About you

You must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

•  Excellent communication skills
•  Customer Service orientated with positive outcomes
•  Ability to work in a team
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy at all times
• Able to work under pressure
• Initiative
• Sound Computer skills
• “Can do attitude”
• Experience in the Timber Industry preferred but not essential
